A 17-year-old boy was shot Thursday night in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

About 9:30 p.m., the teen said he was in an alley in the 6300 block of South Morgan when he heard gunshots and was struck in the right shoulder, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
