Police are warning residents of a series of burglaries in the past month in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The burglaries occurred:

  • between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. Feb. 14-16 in the 4600 block of South Whipple Street;
  • between 5 p.m. and 8:20 p.m. Feb. 23 in the 2500 block of West 46th Street;
  • between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. March 1 in the 4300 block of South Albany Avenue;
  • between 4:50 p.m. and 7 p.m. March 5 in the 2700 block of West 47th Street.

The suspect or suspects break into the residences and take items, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to contact Area Central Detectives at (312) 747-8382.
