Residents of an apartment building near west suburban Willowbrook were evacuated after severe weather blew the roof off.

The DuPage County sheriff’s office was called about 2:40 p.m. and told that the roof had blow off an apartment building at the Hinsdale Lake Terrace Apartments, 16W580 Honeysuckle Rose Lane in unincorporated Willowbrook, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.

Officers with the sheriff’s office responded and began evacuating residents. No injuries were reported and authorities attributed the damage to severe weather.
