A man was seriously wounded in a shooting early Saturday on the Near West Side.

The 23-year-old was on the street in the 1600 block of West Maypole about 12:15 a.m. when a male in orange clothing shot him in the neck and left leg, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said.
