A man was shot early Sunday in the South Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

The 18-year-old was sitting on the hood of a car in the 2300 block of South Sacramento at 1:45 a.m. when a male came out of a gangway shouting gang slogans before opening fire, according to Chicago Police.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to the upper body and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was listed in good condition.
