The Lake Shore Drive bridge over the Chicago River will be closed for a routine inspection for about four hours early Tuesday.

The bridge will be closed between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. Tuesday for an inspection and electrical testing, according to the Chicago Department of Transportation.

Northbound upper level traffic will be detoured to the Randolph exit to mid-level Wacker Drive, Columbus, Illinois and back to Lake Shore, according to CDOT. Southbound upper level traffic will be detoured to Grand, Columbus, Illinois and then back to Lake Shore.

Northbound lower level traffic will be detoured to mid-level Wacker, Columbus, Illinois and then back to Lake Shore; and southbound lower level traffic will be detoured to Grand, Columbus, Randolph and back to Lake Shore.
