SHARE Police: Missing elderly West Lawn man may need medical help

Police are looking for an elderly man from the West Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side who went missing Thursday and may need medical attention.

Mateo Fernandez, 78, was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, navy blue pants and brown sandals in the 6200 block of South Karlov, according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police.

The 5-foot-6, 140-pound Hispanic man has a large scar across his chest, police said.
