On Monday, Bulls players and executives spoke to the media as part of the Media Day festivities kicking off the start of the season. The main focus seemed to be the civil lawsuit filed against Derrick Rose.

The lawsuit accuses Rose of sexual assault in a 2013 incident. The lawsuit was filed in late August in Los Angeles.

Rose gave his first public comments on the case on Monday, too. He vehemently denied any wrongdoing and said he will be proven innocent.

Rose said in an email statement immediately after the lawsuit was filed that he was confident in his innocence and was just focused on preparing for the season. Much of that same rhetoric was repeated during his public comments.
