A 33-year-old man was killed in a rollover crash early Tuesday in the western suburbs.

A white Cadillac CTS was heading south on Meredith Road near McNulty Road in unincorporated Virgil Township about 3:40 a.m. when the car crossed over into the northbound lane, went off the road and struck a culvert, according to the Kane County sheriff’s office.

The car rolled over several times before coming to rest on its roof.

The driver, 33-year-old Rolando Tecaxco-Cuamani, was still in the car when authorities arrived and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the sheriff’s office. He lived in the 800 block of Liberty Street in Aurora.

A nearby resident heard a loud noise, looked outside and saw the car flipped over, but did not actually witness the crash, according to the sheriff’s office.

The road remained closed until about 7 a.m. The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate.
