A 14-year-old boy was shot Tuesday night in the Kenwood neighborhood on the South Side.

The boy was sitting on a front porch at 9:53 p.m. in the 5000 block of South Drexel when someone nearby in a black car opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The boy was shot in the left leg and taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

The shooting happened about two block’s from President Barack Obama’s home.
