Firefighters extinguished an extra-alarm blaze Sunday night in a commercial building in the River West neighborhood.
Firefighters responded about 10:35 p.m. to the fire on the top floor of the three-story building in the 600 block of North Milwaukee, according to the Chicago Fire Department. It was upgraded to a two-alarm because of concern that it would spread to the neighboring building.
The fire was struck out by about 11:50 p.m., fire officials said. No injuries or displacements were reported and the blaze was contained to one building.
The cause of the fire was under investigation early Monday.
