Two teenage boys were arrested Sunday night after they crashed a stolen vehicle and tried to run from police in the West Town neighborhood.

A 13-year-old boy faces one felony count of receiving, possessing or selling a stolen vehicle, according to Chicago Police. A 16-year-old boy has been charged with one count of criminal trespass to a residence and criminal trespass to a vehicle. Neither of their names were released because of their ages.

Officers saw the 2009 Toyota Prius in an alley about 11:15 p.m. in the 1800 block of West Washington, police said. The car had been reported stolen and had possibly been used in an armed robbery.

When officers walked up to the car, one suspect got out and ran away while the other drove to the 1800 block of West Maypole, where he crashed the car into a fence before getting out and running away, police said.

After a chase, both boys were taken into custody, police said. No one was injured.
