A teenage boy was shot to death Thursday evening near the Dearborn Homes public housing project on the South Side.

About 8:30 p.m., a vehicle pulled up in the 2700 block of South State Street and someone inside began shooting at 16-year-old Rayshon Price, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Price, who lived in the same neighborhood, was shot in his head as he tried to run away, and was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:51 p.m., authorities said

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
