A 29-year-old man was shot to death Thursday night in south suburban Sauk Village.

An unknown male shot Jerry L. Thomas multiple times about 9:40 p.m. in the 22300 block of Clyde Avenue, according to Sauk Village police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Thomas, who lived in Sauk Village, was pronounced dead at 10:23 p.m.

An autopsy Friday determined Thomas died of multiple gunshot wounds, the medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled a homicide.

The shooting remained under investigation Monday night by Sauk Village police and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force, police said.
