One person is in custody in connection with an “altercation” Wednesday night at a southwest suburban Arby’s restaurant that left one person dead.

The altercation happened about 10:15 p.m. at the Arby’s restaurant in the 8000 block of West 95th Street in Hickory Hills and left a male dead, according to Hickory Hills police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Details on the altercation were not provided, but an autopsy Friday found the male, whose identity has not been released, died of multiple sharp force injuries, according to the medical examiner’s office. His death was ruled a homicide.

One suspect was taken into custody and charges are pending, police said.

Hickory Hills police and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force are investigating.
