A man was shot in the hand early Sunday in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.
The 18-year-old was walking on the sidewalk about 12:24 a.m. in the 8300 block of South Carpenter when he heard shots and felt pain, Chicago Police said.
He suffered a gunshot wound to the left hand and was taken in good condition to Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park, police said.
No one was in custody as Area South detectives investigated the shooting.
