A man was shot Thursday morning in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The 40-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to his back shortly after 11 a.m. in the 4500 block of West Washington, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken in good condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
