A man was wounded in a shooting Sunday night in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.

About 10:25 p.m., the 18-year-old was walking in the 200 block of East 61st Street when someone in a passing gray vehicle opened fire, Chicago Police said.

The man was shot in his shoulder, and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where his condition stabilized, police said.

Area Central detectives were investigating.
