A man was fatally shot Friday evening in the South Shore neighborhood.

Earl Young, 30, was shot in the left arm at 7:57 p.m. in the 7700 block of South South Shore, Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said.

Young was pronounced at the scene, according to authorities. He lived in the same block where he was shot.

An autopsy Saturday found Young died of multiple gunshot wounds. His death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner’s office.
