A 90-year-old woman accidentally shot her leg Tuesday in Austin on the West Side.

She was arguing with someone about 6:55 a.m. in the 5400 block of West Walton Street with the gun accidentally discharged, Chicago police said.

She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where her condition stabilized, police said.

It is unclear if she will be charged with a crime.

Area North detectives are investigating.
