Kentucky Fried Chicken is adding a new dipping sauce to its lineup that it says is “chicken dippin’ good.”

The new KFC Sauce — described as “a signature sauce that is tangy and sweet, with a bit of smokiness specifically designed to pair with KFC’s Extra Crispy Tenders” — will be available starting Monday, at all U.S. locations, the fried chicken chain announced last week.

The dip joins the chicken chain’s “newly revamped core sauce lineup” that includes classic ranch, honey BBQ and honey mustard.

“When we set out to create a new signature dipping sauce, we went right to the experts – our customers – to find out what made a sauce best-in-class for dipping,” Andrea Zahumensky, chief marketing officer, KFC U.S., said in a news release, noting they went through 50 iterations of the recipe.

KFC said its head chef Chris Scott created three “KFCharcuterie” board recipes for consumers to try at home to celebrate the new sauce using the chain’s products and other ingredients.

In August, the chain suspended the use of its popular ”It’s Finger Lickin’ Good” slogan in its advertising after 64 years amid the coronavirus pandemic.

In a statement, KFC said during an unprecedented year during which the COVID-19 pandemic has upended businesses and lives around the globe, use of the slogan “doesn’t feel quite right.”

KFC said the slogan will not go away forever. The chain said they will bring it back “when the time is right.”
