A teenage boy was critically wounded in a shooting Wednesday in Douglas Park on the West Side.

About 10:30 p.m., he was in the 1300 block of South Fairfield Avenue when he suffered gunshot wounds to the face, Chicago police said.

The 17-year-old was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.

Area Four detectives are investigating.
