The latest theft happened Tuesday in the 6900 block of South Claremont Avenue.

A vehicle stolen Feb. 11, 2020, in the 6900 block of South Claremont Avenue was the latest in a series of thefts.

Police are warning residents of a series of vehicle thefts reported in recent weeks in Marquette Park and Englewood on the South Side.

In each case, the vehicles were left unattended with keys in the ignition, Chicago police said in a community alert.

The thefts happened:

  • About 9 p.m. Jan. 22 in the 6800 block of South Maplewood Avenue;
  • About 3 p.m. Jan. 26 in the 6600 block of South Western Avenue;
  • About 7:15 p.m. Jan. 30 in the 2400 block of West 71st Street;
  • About 8 a.m. Feb. 3 in the 6600 block of South Claremont Avenue;
  • About 7:05 a.m. Feb. 9 in the 2500 block of West 66th Street; and
  • About 8:30 p.m. Feb. 11 in the 6900 block of South Claremont Avenue

Police did not provide a description of any suspects.
