A 15-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting Wednesday in Lawndale on the West Side.

He was in the street about 2 p.m. in the 1200 block of South Lawndale Avenue when someone opened fire, Chicago police said.

The teen was struck in the buttocks and taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.

On Monday, a 17-year-old boy was shot blocks away in the 1500 block of South Keeler Avenue.

Area Four detectives are investigating.
