Two men were shot and killed as they sat in a parked vehicle in Englewood on the South Side early Wednesday.

Ahmad Johnson and Larry Green, both 31, were shot by someone in a passing red SUV about 2:30 a.m. in the 7300 block of South Stewart Avenue, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

The pair tried to drive off and struck several parked cars, police said.

One man was struck in the head and pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The other, shot in his armpit, was brought to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he died.

Autopsies revealed they both died of multiple gunshot wounds.
