Woman, infant killed in South Side hit-and-run

Two male suspects were driving a stolen burgundy Chevy Malibu when they crashed in to a black car about 1:15 a.m. in the 3900 block of South State Street.

A woman and a 3-month-old boy were killed in a hit-and-run crash that also left two others injured, including a 12-year-old boy, early Sunday on the South Side.

Two male suspects were driving a stolen burgundy Chevy Malibu when they crashed into a black car about 1:15 a.m. in the 3900 block of South State Street, Chicago police said.

Selina Taylor, 32, was pronounced dead at the scene, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

A baby boy was pulled out of the car and rushed to Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition, police said. He was later pronounced dead.

A 12-year-old boy was taken to the same hospital in critical condition after he was ejected from the car.

A 41-year-old man was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where his condition was unknown, according to police.

After crashing into the car, the male suspects fled the scene, police said.

No one is in custody as Area One detectives investigate.
