Mexican folk/pop superstar Alejandro Fernández is bringing his 2021 Hecho en México stadium tour to the Allstate Arena.

The 19-date U.S. tour kicks off Sept. 10 in Reno, Nevada, and arrives Sept. 26 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont. Special guest is rising mariachi star Alex Fernández. Tickets are now on sale at ticketmaster.com.

Grammy-winner Alejandro Fernandez is one of the most successful Latin music artists of all time, having sold more than 35 million records to date. He was inducted into the Latin Music Hall of Fame in 2016. His most recent release is the mariachi-infused “Hecho en México,” which earned him a 2020 Latin Grammy win for best ranchero/mariachi album, and spawned four No. 1 singles: “Caballero,” “Te Olvidé,” “Decepciones” and “Duele.”

According to the tour announcement, a portion of proceeds will be donated to Families Belong Together — “a campaign of the National Domestic Workers Alliance, that works to end family separation and promote dignity, unity and compassion for all children and families.”

James Taylor and Andrea Bocelli earlier announced their respective arena tours would include stops in Chicago this year. Pandemic restrictions still in effect do not allow for the reopening of major concert venues and theaters in Illinois.
