Frank Gordon talks with Joel Greenberg and me about 55 years of keeping bees around Kankakee this afternoon on Outside.

“Outside” airs from 4:30-5 p.m. Mondays on WKCC-FM (91.1) in Kankakee.

Gordon lives in Kankakee, but keeps his bees just outside of the city. He touches a lot of points with us, including bee stings and their powers, why he prays over his bees and why he does it and has for so long.

I was simply expecting some background and basics of beekeeping, instead we ended up in some other places.

Laurel Soper, the web tech and digital media person for KCC, has put together a better podcast system set up here.
