A man was shot during an attempted robbery Thursday evening in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.
The 22-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the leg about 5:50 p.m. in the 0 to 100 block of East 53rd Street, police said.
He was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in good condition, police said.
Police said the shooting happened during an attempted robbery, but additional details were not immediately available.
