(CORAL TOWNSHIP) A man was flown to a hospital after he crashed his SUV Monday morning in northwest suburban Coral Township.

The 22-year-old Union man was driving a 1991 Jeep Cherokee southbound on Stacy Lane about 9:50 a.m. when the SUV left the road and struck two trees, according to the McHenry County sheriff’s office.

The driver was taken by Flight for Life to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, where he is listed in good condition Tuesday, according to the sheriff’s office. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The sheriff’s Traffic Crash Investigations Unit is handling the investigation.
