Six people, including a pedestrian, were injured in a crash involving a Chicago Police SUV in the Far South Side Roseland neighborhood.

Police confirmed that a squad car was involved in an accident at 108th and State, but could not confirm the number of injuries, nor the condition of the injured. The crash occurred about 5 p.m. Police could not confirm that one of the vehicles struck a church building after the crash.

Fire Media Affairs said six people, including a pedestrian were injured. Two were taken in serious to critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn; while four, including the pedestrian, were taken in fair to serious condition to Roseland Hospital,spokesman Will Knight said.

Unconfirmed scanner reports said two of the injured were police officers, who were taken to Advocate Christ. A police source said the officers’ injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
