Come Friday night, La Salle Street between Madison and Randolph will be reduced to one lane in each direction for the next three weeks as the Department of Water Management performs emergency underground repairs, the Chicago Department of Transportation said.

Only one lane will be open in each direction.

The closure is required to perform emergency repairs on an underground 36-inch water valve at the southeast corner of La Salle and Washington, CDOT said.
