A man was shot in the shoulder Saturday morning in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

About 5:15 a.m., the 35-year-old was in the 5900 block of South Damen when he was shot, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital and was in critical condition, police said. The shooter was in a white Jeep, and no one was in custody.

Area South detectives were investigating the shooting.
