A man was shot Friday night in Austin on the West Side.

The 18-year-old was shot in the left hand and buttocks about 9:15 p.m. while walking on a sidewalk in the 5600 block of West Van Buren, according to Chicago Police.

His condition stabilized at Stroger Hospital.
