A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash Friday afternoon in northwest suburban Hoffman Estates.

The crash happened between the motorcycle and another vehicle in the 2500 block of West Golf Road at 1:51 p.m., according to a statement from Hoffman Estates police.

William E. Orris III, of the 6100 block of South Kilkenny Drive in Crystal Lake, was taken to Saint Alexius Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 2:50 p.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy Saturday found he died of multiple injuries from a motorcycle colliding with an automobile and his death was ruled an accident.

Hoffman Estates police are investigating the cause of the crash.
