A man and a woman were shot to death Wednesday night in the West Side Lawndale neighborhood.

Diane Taylor, 31, and 29-year-old Donald Holmes, both of the Austin neighborhood, were sitting in a vehicle about 11:10 p.m. in the 4700 block of West Arthington when they were each shot in the head, Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said.

They were both pronounced dead on the scene, authorities said. Autopsies Thursday found that they died of multiple gunshot wounds to their heads, and their deaths were ruled homicides.

Area Central detectives were investigating.
