GOP can handle economy better than Democrats, poll shows

A new Gallup poll shows voters rank the economy as the No. 1 issue when casting their vote for Congress this year, and say that Republicans are better able to handle it.

The federal deficit ranks as the No. 2 issue, which voters also think the GOP would handle it better.

For the Democrats, voters give them a sizable advantage on addressing global warming.
