That didn’t take long.
After watching Jimmy Butler return from a left knee injury that sidelined him for almost a month, Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg revealed prior to Monday’s game that his two-time All-Star was back on the shelf after playing just one game because of swelling in the knee area.
According to Hoiberg, further testing would take place over the next few days.
“Obviously, there’s concern,’’ Hoiberg said of Butler. “Jimmy is a warrior. He’s going to play through anything.’’
In his one-game return on Saturday against Houston, Butler scored 24 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and handed out six assists in 34 minutes of work. In the 11 games Butler missed with the knee injury the Bulls went 3-8.
