A man was shot and killed Sunday in Park Manor on the South Side.
Officers responded about 3:05 a.m. to the 600 block of East 75th Street and found him on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his abdomen, Chicago police said.
The man, identified as 42-year-old Corey Holmes, was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he died several hours later, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
An autopsy found Holmes died of a gunshot wound to his abdomen, the medical examiner’s office said. He lived in Chatham.
Police said the circumstances of the shooting were unknown because witnesses refused to cooperate.
No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
