Star sightings include: Tim Meadows, Tony Goldwyn, Billy Corgan

SEEN ON THE SCENE: Not surprisingly, Harry Caray’s on Kinzie was jam-packed with Cubs fans for the first World Series game, including Smashing Pumpkins icon Billy Corgan and actor Joel Murray, who was joined by his “Killing Reagan” co-star Kyle More, fellow Second City alum and “Prison Break” star Joe Nunez and “Rescue Me” star Jack McGee — currently in town filming “Chicago Justice.” … Fans of veteran actor and comedian Tim Meadows were tickled to see him dining at Lou Malnati’s Lincoln Square pizza palace. … “Scandal” star Tony Goldwyn was spied dining at LYFE Kitchen Evanston with his daughter, who attends Northwestern — seen eating healthy with a quinoa crunch bowl with chicken. (Not exactly a “scandalous” choice!) … MLB fans picked the LA Dodgers’ Joc Pederson and Yasiel Puig out of the crowd, dining at the Giordano’s pizzeria on North Rush. … Top Chicago chef and restaurateur Tony Mantuano represented his popular and critically-acclaimed Spiaggia and was invited to cook the final State Department luncheon of President Obama’s administration. For this very prestigious, special event, Mantuano was joined by his Spiaggia chef de cuisine Joe Flamm to prepare the meal — enjoyed by Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of State John Kerry and Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi. At the luncheon, Prime Minster Renzi not only praised that meal, but paid homage to Mantuano’s Terzo Piano in the Modern Wing of the Art Institute, where the Italian leader dined during his recent visit to Our Town. For Mantuano, his connection to the Obamas is long-standing. The first couple frequently dine at Spiaggia whenever they’re back in Chicago, and the eatery was where the Obamas celebrated the president’s 2008 election victory.
