A 68-year-old man who died after a single-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon near northwest suburban Crystal Lake has been identified.

Sayed A. Quader was driving a 2000 Oldsmobile Silhouette van west on Ackman Road near Huntley Road in Grafton Township when the van left the north side of the road, then crashed into a utility pole and several trees at 5:27 p.m., according to the McHenry County sheriff’s and coroner’s offices.

Quader, of Lake In The Hills, was taken to Woodstock Centegra Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:25 p.m., authorities said.

The coroner’s office found that he died of blunt force trauma to the head and chest.

Ackman Road was closed for four-and-a-half hours Sunday night for investigation.
