A 15-year-old boy was shot to death Thursday night in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.

Shortly before 9 p.m., someone walked up to Bruce Owens in the 6900 block of South Stewart, shot him repeatedly in the chest and abdomen, and then took off in a dark-colored vehicle, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Owens was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where he died at 11:39 p.m., authorities said. He lived in the 6900 block of South Harvard.
