Man shot in West Pullman

A man was shot early Monday in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The 44-year-old was driving about 2:25 a.m. eastbound in the 11900 block of South Lafayette when a black car pulled alongside his vehicle and someone inside opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the left shin and taken to Roseland Community Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
