A 23-year-old man was shot in the right ear Friday afternoon in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

About 4:45 p.m., the man was a passenger in a vehicle when a gray SUV pulled up and a suspect fired shots in the 10200 block of South Michigan Avenue, according to Chicago Police.

The driver with the victim inside reversed into a building while trying to escape, causing minor damage, police said.

The 23-year-old was taken to Christ Medical Center in good condition, police said.
