One man was killed and another wounded in an Englewood neighborhood shooting Friday night on the South Side.

The men, ages 19 and 20, were in the 5600 block of South Racine about 8:09 p.m. when another male walked up and shot them, police said.

Both were taken to Stroger Hospital, where the younger man was pronounced dead with multiple gunshot wounds at 8:44 p.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He was identified as Izael McKenzie of the 5600 block of South Throop.

The older man was listed in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the back, police said.

No one was in custody for the shooting as of Saturday night.
