A 17-year-old boy was shot to death late Tuesday in the Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Marqui Williams was standing outside at 10:09 p.m. in the 3300 block of West Douglas when another male walked up and opened fire, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Williams was shot in the chest, right arm and face and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:22 p.m., according to police and the medical examiner’s office. He lived in the 4900 block of West Gladys.

He died of multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide.
