Two shot in Englewood

Two men were shot Thursday morning in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

At 11:05 a.m., a 22-year-old man was exchanging gunfire with another male in the 300 block of West 63rd Street when he suffered a gunshot wound to the right leg, according to Chicago Police.

A 52-year-old man who was driving on 63rd Street was also struck by a stray bullet, police said. He suffered a graze wound to the head.

Both men were taken to Stroger Hospital, where their conditions were stabilized, police said.

The 22-year-old, who police said is a documented gang member, has been taken into custody and charges were pending Thursday afternoon.
