Jarvis Jenkins, who started 15 games at defensive end for the Bears last season, has agreed to join the Jets, his agent Tweeted on Monday.

Reports indicated Jenkins, who played on a one-year contract for the Bears last season, got a two-year deal with $3 million guaranteed. Word of a pending deal leaked last week.

Jenkins had four sacks last season, double his career total in his first three seasons with the Redskins, and a career-high 22 tackles.

The Bears signed a defensive end replacement, Akiem Hicks, on Sunday night.
