(POSEN) A Chicago teen died Tuesday after he was fatally shot in south suburban Posen.

Jerel M. Goodman, 17, was shot in the 3100 block of West 147th Street in Posen, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Goodman, of the 1400 block of West Marquette, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead at 8:22 p.m. Tuesday, the medical examiner’s office said.

An autopsy Thursday found he died of multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said.

Posen police could not immediately be reached for comment Thursday evening.
