Two men were shot early Sunday in an alley in the Northwest Side Logan Square neighborhood.

The shooting happened in the 2300 block of North Sacramento at 12:45 a.m., police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.

The men had just gotten out of their vehicle in an alley when a gunman walked up and fired numerous shots before running away, police said.

According to a police report, the men had pulled into the alley to urinate.

A 35-year-old man was shot multiple times in the body and a 23-year-old man was shot in the arm and suffered a graze wound to the eye, police said.

The men drove themselves to Norwegian-American Hospital, where the 23-year-old remains, police said. His condition has stabilized.

The 35-year-old was transferred to Stroger Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

The police report said both men had gang affiliations.
